“Dom and Brian O’Conner. That is what you’re gonna get in the finale! Love you!” he said on stage.
Vin then walked back and shared a hug with Paul‘s mother Cheryl. Paul‘s brother Cody was also in attendance at the event.
If you recall, Paul passed away from a car accident back in 2013, during a time when they were still in the midst of filming Furious 7. His brothers Cody and Caleb stepped in to film the final scenes for Brian O’Conner, with the character being written out of the franchise by driving off into the sunset, retiring from the life they were living.
Brian has since been mentioned throughout other films.
Fast X Part 2 is reportedly set to released in April 2027, and serve as the final film in the franchise.
Dwayne Johnson is also reprising his role as Luke Hobbs in another spinoff to be released prior to Fast X Part 2.
If you missed it, a new Fast & Furious roller coaster is being built at Universal Studios Hollywood, and new details and photos were recently revealed!
