Teresa Giudice quickly ended an interview during a local appearance via live video chat on Friday after she was tossed a question about her tax issues.
Anchors for WGN-TV’s Morning NewsLarry Potash and Robin Baumgarten, were talking to Giudice over video chat about light topics such as her table flips on The Real Housewives of New Jersey and whether she’s kept in touch with former castmate Danielle Staub, with whom she clashed, when Potash changed the subject to something she was more hesitant to discuss.

“So you’re gonna be in Zanies [comedy club]and people are going to ask you all kinds of questions,” Potash said. “How is it that a family doesn’t pay their taxes for years?”
The venue where Giudice is set to appear has advertised a “Party with a Housewife: Teresa Giudice” event for June 29.
The tax question related to Giudice and her husband since 2022, Luis Ruelas, being slammed with more than $3 million in tax liens in March. She was said to owe $303,889, while Ruelas owed about $2.6 million, according to PEOPLE. Previously, Giudice served 11 months in prison, after she pleaded guilty to charges of bank, mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud in 2014. She and her husband at the time, Joe Giudice, were both prosecuted in that case, and he was deported after his own release.
During her TV interview, Giudice appeared baffled by the inquiry into her finances. “What family are you talking about?” she asked.
Potash answered, “Your family. Is that what the fraud charges were?”
“OK, I’m hanging up,” the reality TV star replied. “That’s just, hang up. That’s it.”
After Giudice had left the conversation, Potash remarked, “She didn’t like that question. Wasn’t that part of the show?”

Baumgarten quickly ran down what had happened in Giudice’s legal life in the past decade or so.
Potash quipped, “That’s what reality shows are made of.”
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to WGN and a rep for Giudice.
