Restored streak ?

I want to end a streak with someone but it keeps (automatically?) restoring. I assume automatically because this person wants to end our streak as well (not in good terms). Usually when you restore a streak, it says “Streak Pet and – day Streak Restored”, but this time it restored twice saying “You have restored your streak”.

I didn’t open our conversation, I also didn’t tap anything. Does this mean that the other person is the one restoring the streak or is this some type of tiktok glitch?
