If you’re anything like me, and live near a 7-Eleven (and have been frequenting it a bit too often this summer), it might excite you to know that the chain will be celebrating its 98th birthday on July 11 and will be giving back to fans with the return of a favorite Slurpee and prizes. This iconic convenience store has become a go-to for late-night snacks, cool summer drinks, and quick snacks you pick up on the go with friends and family. I find that there’s always something new to discover, whether that’s a limited edition deal or a fresh new drink. This year, we’re able to receive this gift at 7-Eleven, Stripes, and Speedway locations across the United States, giving you more of a reason to stop by and treat yourself this summer.
7-Eleven is going all out for its 98th by launching “Tongue Toos,” temporary tongue tattoos activated by the Slurpee. In order for the tattoo to appear on your tongue, you just need to place the tattoo onto your tongue and then sip the Slurpee and wait for the brand’s iconic “S” to appear. The brand’s signature “S” comes in the colors blue, green, red, and purple. It’s a fun and easy way to shake up the brand’s Slurpee experience. To receive this slurpee, make sure you’re signed up as a 7 Rewards or Speedy Rewards member before the big day so you can get in on the fun!
If you thought that was all the brand had planned for Slurpee Day, you thought wrong because the fun doesn’t stop here. 7-Eleven shared that loyalty members can scan their rewards information to get a coupon for another free small Slurpee that can be redeemed anytime before July 31. On Slurpee day, everyone is also eligible to pick up 7-Eleven gear from the 7Collection. It’s a great way to show appreciation and love for this long-time service, especially if you’ve been a mega fan of the chain for a while.
The 7-Eleven chain has also announced the return of the fan favourite Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl flavour (a mix of pineapple and berry), which will be offered in the Big Gulp size for the first time, in addition to Slurpee form and 20-ounce bottles. Oh, and you can’t forget about how 7-Eleven is giving out $5,000 as part of their big day. Through the end of 2025, 7-Eleven is giving customers the chance to win $5,000 through its Speedway and 7-Eleven apps. In order to enter, you must be a rewards member because you will have to play the games in the app and will need to scan your rewards app for a chance to win.
