Patel
Tracked
Down
In
Honey-Trap
Case:
Kirti
Patel,
also
known
by
the
name
Kirti
Adalja,
was
arrested
on
Tuesday
by
Kapodra
police
from
a
residence
near
the
Sarkhej
police
station
limits
in
Ahmedabad,
ending
a
year-long
effort
to
trace
her
in
connection
with
a
₹2
crore
extortion
case
involving
a
builder.
According
to
a
report
by
The
Times
of
India,
Kirti
Patel
had
remained
elusive
since
June
2024
despite
being
wanted
in
a
serious
case
of
blackmail
and
extortion.
However,
her
frequent
activity
on
social
media,
including
video
uploads
and
public
threats,
remained
visible
even
as
she
constantly
switched
phones,
SIM
cards,
and
locations
to
avoid
detection.
“She
was
constantly
on
the
move
but
active
on
social
media.
Her
arrest
was
a
result
of
meticulous
technical
work,”
DCP
(Zone-1)
Alok
Kumar
told
The
Times
of
India.
Builder
honey-trapped;
Past
cases
under
scrutiny
The
extortion
case
reportedly
dates
back
to
June
2,
2024,
when
Kirti
Patel,
along
with
co-accused
Vijay
Savani,
Zakir
Pathan,
and
Janvi
alias
Manisha
Goswami,
allegedly
lured
Surat-based
builder
Vaju
Katrodiya
to
a
farmhouse
under
the
guise
of
resolving
a
property
dispute.
There,
he
was
reportedly
served
alcohol
and
later
photographed
in
compromising
positions
with
Janvi.
These
images
were
then
used
as
leverage
to
demand
₹2
crore
from
the
builder,
as
stated
in
the
FIR.
The
complaint
also
indicates
that
Kirti
Patel
and
Vijay
Savani
had
earlier
targeted
Vaju
Katrodiya
online,
issuing
threats
and
spreading
defamatory
content
in
relation
to
the
same
property
dispute.
Kirti
Patel’s
name
has
surfaced
in
multiple
criminal
cases
over
the
years.
As
per
The
Times
of
India,
she
faces
at
least
ten
FIRs
in
different
jurisdictions
across
Gujarat,
including
attempted
murder
charges
filed
by
Puna
police
in
2020,
as
well
as
cases
of
extortion,
criminal
intimidation,
and
assault
in
Vastrapur,
Gandhinagar,
Patan,
Junagadh,
and
rural
areas
of
Surat.
Police
sources
noted
that
Kirti
Patel
actively
curated
a
public
image
marked
by
aggression
and
dominance,
often
seen
in
her
abusive
videos
and
open
threats
on
social
media
platforms.
Authorities
believe
this
persona
was
part
of
a
calculated
effort
to
instill
fear
and
suppress
complaints.
Following
her
arrest,
Kirti
Patel
is
expected
to
be
produced
before
a
court
for
remand.
Meanwhile,
police
are
expanding
their
investigation
to
identify
other
potential
victims
of
similar
honey-trap
tactics
and
to
examine
the
role
of
additional
individuals
who
may
be
linked
to
the
extortion
racket.
