Just weeks before her passing, late Food Network star Anne Burrell shared her thoughts on Meghan Markle’s cooking and lifestyle series. The celebrity chef, who died on June 17 at age 55, said she’d love to appear on the Netflix show, adding a playful reason why.
In an interview with The Daily Mail in April 2025, Burrell spoke about the possibility of guesting on Markle’s series, With Love, Meghan. She gave a tongue-in-cheek response to why she’d cook alongside the Duchess of Sussex in an upcoming season of the lifestyle show.
“Sure, of course. I’d go to the opening of an envelope. Why not cook with Meghan?” she joked.
Burrell subsequently admitted she hadn’t tried any of Markle’s products, including the jam that quickly sold out upon its release in April 2025. “I’m not really a jam girl,” she said.

“Occasionally, I make them for my husband. I make scones and we have jam then. Other than that, I wouldn’t say I’m super jammy,” Burrell added.
The celebrity chef met her husband, Stuart Claxton, in 2018 on the dating app Bumble before their relationship turned serious during the COVID-19 pandemic. The couple announced their engagement in the spring of 2020 and married on Oct. 16, 2021.
She told The Daily Mail, “October will be four years. It seems like it’s been four minutes. I don’t know if it’s a honeymoon [phase]but I feel like it’s settled into married life days which I really enjoy.”
To PEOPLE Magazine, Burrell added, “I have to say, I love being married. We’re together all the time because Stuart works from home. It’s the being together all the time, but it’s also the adventure together.”
Claxton revealed his marriage to the celebrity chef was “wonderful, to say the least. Anne and I hadn’t lived together before we moved in and got married, so it’s been a whole adventure, but very lovely at the same time.”
There has been no confirmation from Markle’s camp on the possibility of Burrell ever appearing alongside in the Netflix series. Meghan Markle’s With Love, Meghanwill air its second season this fall. Guests have not yet been announced.
