A long-awaited and highly anticipated new soda flavor is finally heading to stores, and fans can hardly believe the wait is almost over.
A&W’s new Ice Cream Sundae-flavored soda pop is heading to retailers nationwide, according to foodstagrammer Markie_devo, who expects the nostalgic flavor to “knock our socks right off our feet” after all of this buildup.
Coming to stores in both regular and zero bottles, cans, and mini cans, the Ice Cream Sundae soda is said to be “inspired by the combined flavors of sweet vanilla ice cream with the rich indulgence of fudge flavor”—and fans “can’t wait!”

They’ve been crossing their fingers for this confirmation for months, as news of the upcoming flavor first leaked in 2024.

“i am so ready,” a third declared, while another admitted that, while they’re “not an a&w fan,” the “hype has been [so] unreal” surrounding the liquified sundae that they’ve “gotta try this one.”
The influencer has heard that, while stores have already begun to receive shipments of the sweet new soda (with one follower confirming that they’ve seen them come through their warehouse already), it’s not expected on store shelves until August.
But, after almost a year of rumblings surrounding this flavor, that’s sure to feel like no time.
