Country star Kacey Musgraves was forced to cancel her Nashville concert for health reasons. Musgraves used social media to admit she hurt herself pretty badly during a fall that has her sidelined for now.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, the Deeper Wall hitmaker posted an X-ray to reveal she is dealing with a broken rib. The injury left Musgraves unable to fly to Nashville for her next concert.

“Sooo, I’m in Mexico with a f—king broken rib. Wednesday night it was raining and I was running to grab some towels and had an extremely hard fall on some very slick tile I didn’t see. Thankful I didn’t smack my head but I landed very hard on my back left ribcage and broke rib number six,” she wrote.
Musgraves went on to share that she was in an immense amount of pain and any movement was very challenging for her. She’s being well taken care of, but due to the severity of her pain, she will not be able to perform at an event in Nashville on Sunday.

“There is no physical way I can get on a plane and fly back to Nashville for the Sing for Science event. I am extremely bummed to have to reschedule as I have been looking forward to this for months but there’s literally no other option. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience,” Musgraves expressed.
The country crooner revealed the concert has been rescheduled for September 18, 2025. Musgraves shared that those who couldn’t make the date could see other options by visiting the Ryman Auditorium for more information.
Here’s hoping Musgraves has a very healthy and speedy recovery.
