OMG! Chris Hughes Says He Wants To Marry JoJo Siwa! - Perez Hilton
Chris Hughes is ready to take the next step in his relationship with JoJo Siwa!
The 32-year-old reality star opened up about their whirlwind romance for the first time in an interview published with The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine this week, and he made it crystal clear to everyone he is serious about the Dance Moms alum! He has been from the very start!
Fans know their love story began on Celebrity Big Brother UK. When the pair first met on the show, Chris said their first interaction gave him a “magical feeling,” and he knew she was the “most precious person.” He expressed:
“Life has an unexpected way of bringing two people together, and this feels like that. We were meant to cross paths … We keep saying to each other it was serendipity. Life handed me a blessing in my lap.”

Chris added that he “adored the ground she walked on and the way she handled herself.” And what started as a genuine friendship after the Love Island UK alum defended her against Mickey Rourke’s homophobic comments grew into something more. Viewers saw how flirty the pair got with each other. They cuddled in the same bed, kissed each other on the head and shoulders, and slow danced. The only problem with their intimate interactions? JoJo had a partner back home, Kath Ebbs.
But once the show wrapped, their relationship was over. JoJo dumped Kath at the afterparty. While the singer may say she didn’t leave the DJ for Chris, we all have eyes. We all know she did. Yet, Chris even insists the two were only friends after the show.
However, everything changed when he “flew to Mexico City to surprise her” and then met her family in Orlando. During that time, he recalled they hung out together, and he had the “best three days of my life.” Part of that is because they had their first kiss together:
“Our first kiss was genuinely special – it felt like I was in a movie. I can’t keep my hands off her now!”
What’s more? He is totally head over heels for her now! Chris revealed he has already told JoJo he loves her, and tells her “every day.” He added:
“I can’t explain it, but it’s a safe love. It’s like a natural high.”
Chris is so committed to the relationship that he plans to tie the knot with JoJo one day! He told Fabulous Magazine:
“I’d love to marry her. I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you I run through scenarios of our wedding day … We’d have a proper English wedding and I can imagine her in a full wedding dress.”
Wow! The pair moves fast! He’s even thinking about kids! The television personality shared:
“We both want kids. We come from loving families. My mum loves her. She’s my best friend. I love that she’s the person I have to do nothing with and still have the best time. That’s everything to me.”
They aren’t getting married and popping out kiddos yet, though! For now, they are focused on making a “transatlantic relationship” work. Chris noted they “haven’t spoken about living with each other in the future,” but he will “jump on planes” and travel wherever she is. He’s even written her “love letters”:
“I’m obsessed with her. I’d do anything for her.”
It sounds like Chris thinks he found the one! Fortunately for him, if the couple does go the distance, he said he has the approval of the 22-year-old professional dancer’s parents, Jessalynn and Tom Siwa. Hey, at least they are supportive! Fans, on the other hand? They aren’t totally on board with the relationship due to their age gap. Chris shared that he and JoJo have seen the “criticism” about their romance, but they try to ignore it:
“I don’t care. I wouldn’t go to the effort of loving someone for any other reason than it being real. Having been in this industry for eight years, I needed to adapt to having criticism from different angles. The past few months have actually made me a little stronger mentally.”
Plus, he didn’t even think about their age gap until people brought it up online! Chris added:
“She’s one of the most mature people I’ve ever met, and I’m very immature! But it just works.”
Whether it’ll work in the long run, we’ll see! But there is no doubt that Chris is so smitten with JoJo!
