Love Island fans are ready to boot Cierra Ortega after a troubling post from her past resurfaced.
An image has been going viral on social media depicting the 25-year-old reportedly using a racial slur while describing her reason for getting Botox in 2020. In an Instagram Story selfie seated in a medspa chair, Cierra allegedly wrote:
“botox isn’t for everyone but I love it for me!!! I am incredibly expressive with my face and I catch myself frowning for no reason throughout the day when I’m focusing on something or thinking too hard lol”

She then goes on to use a racial slur directed towards Asians:
“I can also be a little c***** when I laugh/smile so I love getting a mini brow lift to open up my eyes and get that snatched look”

Oh, that’s not… WTF possessed her to allegedly use THAT word?!
On Reddit, fans haven’t been afraid to criticize her:
“This is a SLUR!!!! IDC where you’re from or where you grew up, this has been a known slur word. People should be held accountable for their ignorance”
“There’s genuinely no excuse in 2025 to not know that’s a slur. Genuinely no excuse with all the (even surface level) knowledge being passed around”
“It’s so crazy people still use this word. I grew up in an area where this word was literally never used”
“I’m so sad she was one of my favs”
Others called for her removal from the reality dating competition while comparing her to another competitor who got the boot:
“Yulissa [Escobar] was removed from the show for saying derogatory slurs. Why is racism towards Asians normalized and why should it continue? The usage of slurs in common language is not okay, it will never be okay, and she should be called out for it”
“Wait but Yulissa got removed for posting a racist remark….how does one get a swift exit but this does not? It seems that they should be all or nothing. Don’t weigh which slur is worse than another. All is wrong!!”
Oof. While it may be up to the network to have the final say on Cierra’s fate, fans have made their disapproval known on Instagram and TikTok. According to multiple outlets, she’s lost roughly 200k followers since the pic resurfaced. DAMN. Not to mention, she showed a nasty display of critiques during the postcard challenge on Tuesday. Her aura went from sunshine to clouds REAL quick — and the public CLOCKED IT!
