As DanDaDan returns to streaming with its second season, Funko has increased the hype for this series by releasing a new collection based on the anime. Four characters have been given the Pop! Vinyl treatment, with one receiving a chase variant. These figures are now available for pre-order and will be shipped before the end of the year. According to the Funko site, Momo Ayase, Seiko Ayase, Turbo Granny, and Okarun have their own Pop! Figures, with a listed price of $14.99, are scheduled to arrive on November 20, 2025. The Okarun figure is set to have a chase variant, so collectors have a 1 in 6 chance of receiving a limited figure based on his regular human form, rather than his transformed appearance. These figures are now available for pre-order on the Funko website, as well as on third-party retailers such as Entertainment Earth. DanDaDan isn’t the only anime that received a chase variant in its Funko Collection. Other shows, such as Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Solo Leveling, and Spy x Family, have also featured a chase figure, primarily based on an alternative appearance seen in the show. These chase figures can only be obtained via pre-orders, so good luck if you’re trying to collect them all.
What Is ‘DanDaDan’ About?
Based on the 2021 manga series by Yukinobu Tatsu, DanDaDan follows Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura (aka Okarun), who make a bet to see which one of them is correct when it comes to the existence of ghosts and aliens. To prove each other wrong, both of them visit separate locations based on the occult, only to be attacked and have their abilities unlocked. From there, they team up with friends and family to fight the extraterrestrial. The manga for DanDaDan is still ongoing, releasing 20 volumes in Japanese and is currently on its 13th volume in English. Season 1 of DanDaDan was highly praised by fans and critics alike, generating a perfect critics’ score of 100% and a high average audience score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, it earned a high 8.50 score on MyAnimeList and received the most nominations at the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. On Netflix, DanDaDan Season 1 debuted at #2 in the Top 10 Non-English Shows Overview in the Global charts and stayed in the Top 10 for 12 weeks. It won’t be long before we see if Season 2 will generate similar or better results. DanDaDan Season 2 is now available to stream on Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu.
