Charity Donor Caught Selling Access To Prince William & Princess Catherine - And She's Connected To Harry, Too! - Perez Hilton
A millionaire donor who was fundraising for Prince William‘s charity polo match was kicked out… or ridden off as they’d say in the sport, we guess. Why? She was allegedly caught using the event to try to sell access to both him and Princess Catherine!
And not only that, we’re also now learning she was linked to Prince Harry last fall — but he’s reportedly ditched her after this whole brand-new brouhaha with his estranged older brother, too!
According to a report published over the weekend in the Sunday Times, art gallery owner and longtime Royal Charity Polo Cup supporter Minerva Mondejar Steiner allegedly sought to broker private meetings between wealthy donors and the Prince and Princess of Wales in exchange for money. Icky!!

According to that outlet, Steiner allegedly offered access to Wills and Kate in exchange for a donation made to her Mondejar Foundation. A screenshot of an email showed the purported scheme was done through a networking group called A Small World, and promised to offer a “private audience” with the royal couple for more than $27,000. Specifically, the offer was tied to an invitation to Wills’ Royal Charity Polo Cup, which will take place on July 11.
The email reportedly said in part:
“As patron of the Mondejar Foundation, you’re invited to support their philanthropic work through a charitable donation, in return for which you will be welcomed to this prestigious occasion. Hosted in the presence of members of the British Royal Family, and supported by the Mondejar Foundation, this highly exclusive gathering unites leading figures from philanthropy, fashion, the arts, and culture for a truly unforgettable day.”
The email said it would cost $8,208 for “admission for one patron” to the event, and then dropped the bomb — a jaw-dropping $27,362 to include “full access plus a private audience with Prince William and Princess Catherine.”
And as if that weren’t enough, for roughly $68,406, advertisers could buy a double-page spread in the accompanying event mag along with two “VVIP tickets” for seats at the match and “access to the royals.”
But the couple does NOT want to be associated with such a pay-to-play scheme! Per that outlet and People, once news broke that Steiner had allegedly been trying to set up BTW meetings between high net worth folks and the prince and princess, the Royal Charity Polo Cup began the process of terminating its sponsorship agreement with her Mondejar Gallery and its foundation.
Adios!
FWIW, this is not Steiner’s first brush with the royal fam. Last September, she met Prince Harry at the WellChild awards in London. Whoa!
Then, a couple weeks after their meeting, she posted on Instagram about their interaction (below):
Uh-oh!
However, People claims her introduction to Meghan Markle‘s husband back then was only a brief exchange, and it amounted to nothing more than a quick handshake and a photo. Seems like she was just as interested in making it look like she was connected to the spare!

But now that this whole hubbub has popped up between Steiner and Prince William’s polo org, the mag reported on Monday that neither Harry nor WellChild will have ANY further association with her, either! So, Steiner is now s**t outta luck with both brothers. That was quick!
Hmmm. Ya know, it seems like this is the only thing the two estranged bros can agree on lately. Just saying!!!
Reactions, y’all??
