
11th World Yoga Day: Today, the 11th World Yoga Day is being celebrated with great pomp all over the world. On this day announced by the United Nations, large -scale programs have been organized in many countries including India. This year’s main event was held in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, where thousands of people participated in collective yoga exercises. The Union Minister and the Chief Minister of the state led the program.
Prime Minister Modi’s message
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Srinagar program through video conferencing. He said, “Yoga is an ancient tradition of India, which provides a holistic route of physical and mental health.” He called upon people to make Yoga a part of their routine.
Globally celebration of Yoga Day
On the occasion of World Yoga Day, yoga sessions were held at major places around the world, from Times Square in New York to the Ifil Tower of Paris. A special event was also held at the United Nations Headquarters, in which ambassadors from many countries participated.
Yoga on digital platforms
This year, online yoga classes were also organized through digital platforms on Yoga Day. The Ministry of AYUSH launched a mobile app under the theme “Yoga for Hermoni and Peace”, in which live sessions were organized by yoga trainers.
