Actor Piya Valecha, who was last seen in the TV show Imlie and had a cameo in Choti sarrdaarni in 2023, marked her birthday this year with a gesture of quiet significance—by pledging her eyes for donation. “This year, I decided to pledge my eyes so someone can see the world,” she shares. “I feel don’t just leave a will—leave a vision, so they can see the light. Donate your sight. This has been in my mind for the last few years. As I grow one more year older, I realise it’s time I should do this.” She is hoping to encourage others to consider organ donation. “Life is beautiful and everyone should be able to see a bright new day—and of course, their loved ones. I knew I had to do this one day, and what better day than my birthday?” The decision came during a period of personal reflection for the actor. “I’m not in a mood to celebrate my birthday this year. Just spending time with my mom and close friends. They surprised me with a birthday cake and we shared some warm time together.” The actress also opened up about the difficult phase she’s been navigating in both her personal and professional life after she lost her father in 2023. “Life is tough sometimes, and when you don’t see anything working, you should surrender—things will fall in place.
