- Gets a few cosmetic changes
- Features a faster and larger screen
The Volvo XC60 is all set to receive its second facelift, and will be launched in India on August 1. Like its sibling, the XC90, the XC60 gets minor updates including subtle exterior changes, new tech inside, and the same powertrain as before.
As for the exterior enhancements, the updated XC60 will sport a new front grille, redesigned alloy wheels, and darker tail lamps. Volvo will also offer new colours including Forest Lake and Aurora Silver, with Mulberry Red making its debut on the XC60. These cosmetic tweaks will keep the vehicle look fresh and competitive in its segment.
Inside the cabin, the refreshed XC60 will feature a larger 11.2-inch touchscreen with enhanced features, new apps, and over-the-air updates. The display’s pixel density has been increased by 21 per cent, resulting in a crisper and more responsive interface. This infotainment system is powered by Google and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, which promises significantly improved performance and processing speeds over twice as much as the current system.
The B5 mild-hybrid powertrain will continue to power the facelifted XC60 in India. However, with these new updates, the SUV is expected to carry a slightly higher price tag as compared to the current model. But then, it will continue to rival the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, and Audi Q5 in the Indian market.
