- Three dealer partners to be onboarded
- SAVWIPL to manage India operations
Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) recently added Bentley to its India portfolio, effectively making itself the overseer of the British carmaker. Being the sixth manufacturer under the aegis of SAVWIPL, the latter will import, distribute, and service Bentley vehicles across the country. Bentley has so far imported vehicles via Exclusive Motors. The current merger creates a new entity – Bentley India, headed by Abby Thomas. This entity will oversee all operations pertaining to sales and aftersales in India. Additionally, the carmaker will onboard three dealer partners across three key cities, starting with Bangalore and Mumbai, with New Delhi to follow suit later.
Remarking on the merger, Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO, Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, added, “Welcoming Bentley into the SAVWIPL family is a proud milestone that completes our portfolio — from the precision of German engineering to the timeless elegance and unmatched performance of British craftsmanship. India’s appetite for uncompromising luxury is growing rapidly. Additionally, Abbey’s deep understanding of the Indian market makes him the ideal leader to steer Bentley India toward new milestones.”

Jan Bures, Executive Director, Sales, Marketing and Digital, Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, added, “It’s a proud moment for us in India to welcome Bentley into the SAVWIPL family. The ever-growing UHNI segment in India will benefit from this new association, and we, along with our new dealer partners, will ensure the best of luxury and performance for our customers.”
