BYD has abandoned plans to build a major manufacturing plant in Mexico, citing geopolitical volatility and trade tensions with the US. The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) giant had been evaluating three potential sites for a facility to produce around 150,000 vehicles annually and create some 10,000 jobs.
