Mercedes-Benz is going high octane with its India product offensive. Right after tapping into the ultra-luxury segment with the Maybach EQS and the SL680 Monogram Series, the 4.0-litre, bi-turbo V8 beasts, the AMG GT63 and the AMG GT63 Pro 4MATIC two-door coupe, are set for an India launch. The AMGs will make way as CBUs in the country.

The higher-end flagship coupe is set to deliver exhilarating performance numbers, with a zero to 100kmph acceleration of 3.2 seconds, topping out at 315kmph. The biturbo V8 gets twin-scroll turbochargers, and is tuned to churn out 584.6bhp and 800Nm torque. All this is aided by a 9G Multi-Clutch Transmission (MCT) system. The coupe will get carbon fibre finishes and an aerodynamic design. Internationally, the AMG gets a hybrid system, with a 6.1kW liquid-cooled battery supplying 150kW to the rear axle.

With regards to the price, we anticipate a Rs. 3 crore ballpark for the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT63 and the AMG GT63 Pro.
