- Prices to be announced in the first week of September
- Will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, and more
Maruti Suzuki has officially confirmed that it will launch its first all-electric model, the e Vitara, in India on 3 September. The Tata Curvv EV and Hyundai Creta Electric rival finally gets a launch date after multiple delays over the last few months. We had previously confirmed that the carmaker will release the prices of the EV during the festive season this year.

The e Vitara will be one of four BEVs that Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce in the country by 2030. Showcased in the production form at the Auto Expo earlier this year, the model will be offered in 10 colours across three variants.
Customers of the 2025 Maruti e Vitara will be able to choose from two battery pack options – 48.8kWh and 61.1kWh. The larger battery pack will return a claimed range of 500km on a single charge. While the international version gets an optional 4WD configuration, the India-spec car will be available only in the 2WD guise.

Key features of the new Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will include 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, new two-spoke steering wheel, electric sunroof, 10-way powered driver’s seat, LED projector headlamps, wireless mobile charger, seven airbags, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, 10.1-inch driver’s display, 10.25-inch infotainment screen, and 18-inch alloy wheels. This will also be the first Maruti Suzuki car in India to get an ADAS suite, and the car in question will feature a Level 2 version.
