- SUVs and MUVs are available
- All offer three-row seating
The Indian car market has seen many six and seven-seater cars, but the demand has never really spiked up. But there has always been a demand and if you are looking for a seven-seater SUV or MUV under Rs. 15 lakh, we’ve got you covered here. Check out our top five picks for 2025, featuring the best options for large families, road trips, and even everyday commutes.

The Aircross is a compact SUV which offers three-row seating as well. It is primarily a five-seater, hence doesn’t look like an MPV and yet has a flexi-pro seating. The latter basically adds in a third row to accommodate more people. These seats can be completely removed like the Renault Triber to increase cargo space. Moreover, it also has a turbo-petrol engine option along with an automatic that could just make into your budget.

The classic Bolero has always been a rugged MUV known for the value it provides at a low price. It has a tough build, it tackles any job, and the torquey diesel engine delivers power for most road surfaces. It is a no-nonsense choice for those who need a reliable, reasonably spacious, and affordable vehicle.

The same traits of the Bolero are echoed by the new-age Bolero, as in the Bolero Neo. It isn’t as crude as the Bolero, but still robust and solid. The interior feels better with better quality of materials and newer equipment.

However, do note that both of these MUVs have access to the third row from the tail gate. Also, these are jump seats, which aren’t as comfortable as the captain seats with other cars.

Now, there are even some Mahindra’s entry-level SUVs that make it to this list. For example, the Scorpio Classic’s base-version is priced under Rs. 15 lakh. The vehicle has rugged looks and a diesel powertrain, but comes with jump seats in the third row.

Then, there’s a big step up from the Scorpio Classic in the form of the Scorpio-N. Its entry-level petrol variants are priced under Rs. 15 lakh ex-showroom and are way better than the Classic in terms of fit and finish, features, and more.

In fact, even some entry-level variants of the petrol Mahindra XUV700 also make it to the list, as the ex-showroom price is less than Rs. 15 lakh. But, these do miss out on many features that the top-spec trims get.

Hence, if you can extend your budget a bit do check out the higher variants. And you never know, when you are at a dealer, the ongoing discounts might make a good deal for you. Besides, the latter part applies to all other cars as well.
